Biography

Ľubomír Slovinský (SK) is a visual artist, designer, and educator working at the intersection of digital media, cartography, and environmental memory. With a background in animation, projection mapping, and interactive installations, L’ubomír’s work often bridges art and science, exploring the layered histories of landscapes shaped by human activity. Deeply rooted in his mining-region origins, Ľubomír creates site-specific projects that involve field research, data collection, and artifact gathering—often culminating in immersive audiovisual experiences. For the Nonagon residency, he will delve into the industrial past and ecological memory of Svanö’s terrain, using video projection, real-time interaction, and even microscopic imagery to transform found materials into a spatially immersive performance. Expect a thoughtful exploration of the Anthropocene, landscape theory, and new forms of visual storytelling shaped by both macro and micro perspectives.
